Special Palliative Medicine Grand Rounds with Guest Speaker from Brazil, Tom Almeida

Tom Almeida, a native of Brazil, is a dedicated social entrepreneur who has committed his life to creating positive change. Alongside his roots, Tom is the visionary behind the inFINITO Movement, a venture aimed at revolutionizing our approach to death and dying. He is also the brainchild behind the Death Movieclub, a columnist at Finitude Podcast, the driving force behind Death Over Dinner Brazil, and a co-author of the books "Disenfranchised Grief in Contemporary Society" and "When Death Knocks at Your Door".

Tom's profound personal journey began with the tragic loss of his mother, cousin, and father within a span of three years. This deeply impactful experience led him to recognize that much of our suffering is intricately tied to how we navigate the process of dying, both on an individual and societal level. With this realization, he wholeheartedly embraced the mission of initiating conversations about death, culminating in the creation of the inFINITO Movement. Thousands of individuals have already engaged in these heartfelt discussions about life and death.
