Matt Springer, Professor of Medicine, talks about precautions that can be taken to lessen the damage from an earthquake at home and work. His 1-hour presentation includes many photos of preparations in his own home and suggests measures ranging from simple to complex to prepare for the next temblor. This presentation is being given at multiple UCSF locations (see http://earthquake.matthewlspringer.com/schedule.html for a current list of dates and times, and http://quaketips.blogspot.com for more earthquake preparedness information). Sponsored by the Office of Environmental Health & Safety. "We recruit people to come work with us in the Bay Area, so we should teach them how to live in the Bay Area."
