Dr. Teherani is Professor of Medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine and Education Scientist in the Center for Faculty Educators in the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. She is Director for Educational Evaluation for the School of Medicine, a role in which she leads design, development, and policy for evaluation of the School of Medicine Bridges Curriculum.

Lecture: How Far Have We Advanced the Evidence on Equity in Medical Education? What We Know and Where We Need to Go.

At the end of the session learners will be able to:

  • Summarize key global and national studies and findings related to educational equity in medical education
  • Describe how the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine is advancing the research on educational equity
  • Apply a framework to expand the future direction for research on educational equity in medical education
