University of California San Francisco Give to UCSF

UCSF Healthcare Advocates for Social Justice invite you to join us on Tuesday, October 22nd at 12PM for a discussion called “Healing Across Identities: Providing Inclusive and Affirming Care for Families.” The talk will feature Melissa R. Franklin, EdD and Hoda Shawky, MSN, CPNP, PMHS, IBCLC.

Melissa is an organizational and systems transformation leader who works with organizations to foster joy, justice, wellbeing and equity in communities. Hoda Shawky is a pediatric nurse practitioner and maternal child health equity leader and consultant through Noorture, LLC whose belief in the power of community drives her desire to work towards equitable conditions for all of the world's babies.

You can register for the talk here and learn more about Melissa here and Hoda here.

This event was planned by a diverse group of UCSF staff who organized in response to the ongoing racial injustices. The goal of the UCSF Healthcare Advocates for Social Justice monthly speaker series is to promote critical thinking and action around intersectional structures of power, privilege, and racial oppression in clinical care, education, and beyond. We will continue to highlight the efforts of community antiracism activists.
