HEAL (Health, Equity, Action, and Leadership) trains and transforms front line health professionals through building a community dedicated to serving the under-served as their lifelong choice.

At HEAL, we believe health is achievable for even the most vulnerable populations in our world when we apply principles of equity, justice, and solidarity.

We partner with incredible global health sites in the US and internationally. Identify domestic and international sites with high need and commitment to serve underserved. Through a rigorous application process, we select and pair US trained health professionals with front line clinicians working in low resource communities in the United States and internationally. Fellows experience an immersive, experiential training and mentorship over two years in person and remotely.  Fellows receive an online master’s degree through a partner institution and are regularly mentored by the HEAL faculty at UCSF and our partner sites. This allows them to grow from front line clinician to global health leaders.
