About this Event
Objectives:
1. Describe the medical issues that affect children with Down syndrome that affect communication development.
2. List interventions that can support the development of a child's spoken language.
3. Explain the role of sign language in supporting communication in children with Down syndrome.
4. Identify types of alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) that can be used to support communication for a child with Down syndrome.
