“Music Therapy in Pediatrics: Supporting Advocacy and Agency”

Planners expect learners to:

1. Identify clinical benefits of medical music therapy from an evidence-based practice.  

2. Describe key principles of trauma informed music therapy framework.

3. Recognize how music therapists improve patient outcomes by implementing culturally responsive and strengths-based approaches which directly address implicit bias in health care.

4. Assess how music therapy assists nursing and other allied professionals in the care of patients.
