“Injuries in Children with Disabilities: Special Needs, Special Concerns, Special Resources”

Planners expect learners to:

1. Identify specific risks for injury in children with special health care needs.

2. Counsel families about how to include interventions into the IEP of children with special needs to minimize risk of injury.

3. Identify and access resources for preventing injuries in all children with disabilities regardless of environment or family circumstances.
