“Adoption and Foster Care:  Where are we in 2022?”

Planners expect learners to:

1. Describe the epidemiology of children impacted by foster care and adoption in 2022.

2.  Identify the implications of a history of adoption and/or foster care for adolescent identity development.

3.  List the implications of prenatal exposure for children to alcohol, opiates and marijuana.

4.  Identify terms that may contribute to challenges in communicating history and recommendations with children/family with a history of foster care/adoption.
