“Pediatric Neuromuscular Disorders in the Age of Disease Modifying Therapies”

Planners expect learners to:

1. Recognize new disease modifying therapy in Spinal Muscular Atrophy and Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

2. Assess the challenges in utilizing new disease modifying therapy, including safety, cost, access and the wide spectrum of disease.

3. Describe pulmonary manifestations of neuromuscular diseases.

4. Develop treatment plan to manage pulmonary manifestations of neuromuscular diseases, including adjusting patient’s treatments after disease modifying therapy.
