“Health in Pregnancy and Impacts on Childhood Development”

Planners expect learners to:

1. Review important pre-conception guidance for optimal health in pregnancy and childbirth.

2. Discuss the more common maternal conditions in pregnancy and their influence on fetal, neonatal and long-term childhood health.

3. Explore the more common fetal conditions in pregnancy which may be encountered by the primary care pediatrician, such as renal, CNS and respiratory complications, the follow up and long-term outcomes.
