“Autism Spectrum Disorder: Evaluation of Individual Responses to Treatment and Continuity of Care”

Presented by: Bryna Siegel, PhD                                                 Founder and Executive Director

Autism Center of Northern California

Objectives:

1. Examine current research on developmental trajectory of autism as it relates to three benchmarks: pre-treatment, after early intervention, and at primary to secondary school transition.

2. Identify patterns associated with different cultural and religious systems as they inform beliefs about diagnosis of autism and to effectively develop family engagement in best practice treatments for children.

3. Evaluate Dr. Siegel’s model for assessing autism specific learning styles when treatment plans are developed for an individual child’s neurodevelopmental strengths and weaknesses.
