About this Event
Judith Moskowitz, PhD, is Vice Chair for Scientific & Faculty Development in the Department of Medical Social Sciences at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, and Professor in both the Department of Medical Social Sciences (Intervention Science) and Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences. A social and health psychologist, she conducts patient-oriented research on behavioral and psychosocial factors in the context of significant illness or life stress, with a focus on the adaptive role of positive emotion regulation in health behavior change and stress prevention. Her research, funded by NCCIH, NIA, NIMH, NIDDK, NIDA, and NINR, includes randomized trials to test whether her team’s positive emotion regulation intervention can enhance positive affect, reduce stress and depression, and improve health behaviors in at-risk populations.
