Get Your Rear in Gear is a 5-K walk/run organized by the Colorectal Cancer Coalition to support an organization called Operation Access. Operation Access provides free colonoscopies and other essential services to SF Bay Area residents with limited health coverage. Colorectal cancer is still the second leading cause of cancer death in the USA. With screening and follow up the vast majority of these deaths could be prevented.

Last year, on a sunny day near Lake Merced in San Francisco, over 500 people participated and over $50,000 was raised. You can sign up as an individual or get a team of friends or family to join. Or join our UCSF-San Francisco Cancer Initiative team and walk/run called the SF CAN CRC MisFITs.

Sign up here:  https://donate.coloncancercoalition.org/sanfrancisco/SFCANCRC.

And, even if you do not join us for the event, you can make a donation. Any amount is welcome and will make a difference.

If you have any questions about the event or want to volunteer for the event please contact Carly Rachocki at carly.rachocki@ucsf.edu.
