Did you know that the NIH provides funding to attract minority trainees and faculty to research careers? The Research Supplements to Promote Diversity in Health-Related Research, or “Diversity Supplements,” provide additional funding for trainees and faculty to work on an existing NIH-funded project in a particular area of interest.

Want to learn more? Join us as we host Dr. Desirée Salazar, Program Director at National Institute of General Medical Sciences, for an informational session regarding Diversity Supplements. Dr. Salazar will give an overview of the program and contribute her insights on how to prepare a successful application.

Following Dr. Salazar's presentation, we will showcase resources at UCSF to prepare an application and help faculty meet qualified Diversity Supplement candidates. The event will conclude with a networking reception.

This event is hosted by the Research Development Office, Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center, and Differences Matter Initiative's Research Action Group for Equity.
