San Francisco Rec and Park’s Urban Agriculture Program provides free materials for the backyard gardener, community gardener, or urban farmer through regularly scheduled Garden Resource Days.

As Garden Resource Day continues to grow in popularity, we are updating the program to ensure we are able to serve as many gardeners and farmers as we can in a welcoming environment. See the changes moving forward, starting on September 27:

  • Garden Resource Day is moving to 155 Jennings Street
  • Pre-registration is required to attend. Each adult participant may register for one time slot only at 10 a.m., 11 a.m. or noon. Youth participants will sign in on-site. Registration will open two weeks before each event at the link below.
  • Compost will be limited to 2 buckets for each pre-registered adult participant. Note that there will be no mulch at the September 27 event.
  • There will be two more Garden Resource Days in 2025 on September 27 and November 1. Note that The October 9 event date is cancelled.
