Fusing Fields or Forging Bridges: Neuroscience Research in Social Work Practice

Professor Jessica Black will discuss what it is like from a neuroscience perspective to join a field that is predominately social science heavy, practitioner oriented in terms of training, and pulls heavily from strengths/based and systems theory rather than medical/deficit models and individual theory. She will provide some examples from her research, teaching, professional involvement and innovation in the field of social work.
