 estigator in the Cardiac Bioelectricity and Arrhythmia Center\, Department
  of Biomedical Engineering\, Washington University in St. Louis. Dr. Balke
  graduated from Temple University School of Medicine\; he trained in inter
 nal medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital\, cardiology at Brigham and Women
 ’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School\, clinical cardiac electrophysiology 
 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania\, and molecular physiolo
 gy at the University of Maryland. Dr. Balke has a long-standing commitment
  to mentored career development mechanisms serving both as a national lead
 er as well as mentoring within his research program.  \n\nIn this session
