Note: This workshop counts toward the Teach for UCSF Certificates in Clinical and General Teaching. However, it DOES NOT count as a prerequisite to the Advanced Feedback across Differences workshop.

Feedback is a fundamental tool of effective teaching and is a skill that, though easily learned, takes a lifetime to master. We will use the wisdom and experience of the entire group and review the literature to write a foolproof guide to give effective feedback. Participants will practice these new skills in the workshop, specifically focusing on challenging cases of their own. We also welcome returning faculty to reinforce and build on previously attained skills.
For the second part of the session, we will invite a panel of local experts in remediation to make comments, and then field your questions about best practices (as they exist) for helping students and residents in need of larger-scale correction.

UCSF is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
