DESCRIPTION:The UCSF Department of Psychiatry\, UCSF Department of Pediatri
 cs\, and UCSF Center for Vulnerable Populations are sponsoring a one-day t
 raining for health care professionals who want to learn how to provide for
 ensic mental health and/or medical evaluations for asylum seekers.\n\nThis
  multi-disciplinary training will be led by facilitators from the UCSF Tra
 uma Recovery Center\, UC Hastings Center for Gender & Refugee Studies\, UC
 SF Department of Pediatrics\, UCSF Department of Medicine\, and ZSFG Richa
 rd Fine People’s Clinic. It will provide an introduction to asylum law\,
  the role of evaluators\, forensic assessments\, physical examinations\, a
 nd writing forensic reports.\n\nThis free training is open to the communit
 y. Though it is primarily targeted at clinical providers\, all are welcome
  to participate.
