“Poetry is simply speaking the truth. Each of us has a truth as unique as our own fingerprints.”
~ Dr. Rachel Naomi Remen

This is an experiential workshop for anyone dealing with a serious illness. You do not need to consider yourself a poet or have any writing experience to attend ~ all that is required is an open mind and heart!

Making poems can:

  • Surprise us
  • Allow expression of feelings in creative ways
  • Guide our own healing journey
  • Assist us in feeling connected to ourselves and others

This workshop will be offered on four Thursdays in February: 2/6, 2/13, 2/20 and 2/27, from 11:00 am - 12:30 pm.

There is no cost to attend, but pre-registration is required, as seating is limited.

This workshop will be facilitated by Redwing Keyssar, RN, Director of Patient and Caregiver Education at the MERI Center for Education in Palliative Care at UCSF/Mt Zion.
