In honor of both Hispanic Heritage and World Alzheimer’s Months, join us for a special screening of The Rest I Make Up—named one of The New Yorker’s “Best Movies of 2018”—followed by a panel discussion focusing on creative care, cognitive resilience, identity, and brain health.

This acclaimed documentary chronicles filmmaker Michelle Memran’s decade-long creative collaboration with legendary Cuban-American playwright María Irene Fornés. When Fornés stopped writing due to Alzheimer’s disease, their friendship—and the camera—sparked a new artistic practice, capturing the brilliance, humor, and intimate bond that deepened between them.
