The Evolving Landscape of Alzheimer's Disease: Treatment, Care, and Prevention – Perspectives from the Alzheimer's Association

Maria Carrillo, PhD, will highlight the current landscape of Alzheimer’s disease diagnosis and treatment, including recently approved and emerging disease-modifying therapies. She will also present research priorities and policy perspectives from the Alzheimer’s Association, including global efforts to prevent dementia. These include the World Wide FINGERS (WW-FINGERS) network, a global consortium that aims to reduce dementia risk and prevent cognitive decline through multidomain lifestyle interventions.
Pre-Lecture Poster Session & Art Exhibit:
From 3 to 4 p.m., refreshments will be served alongside a poster session highlighting the work of Atlantic Fellows for Equity in Brain Health. The event will also feature an art exhibit showcasing work created by older adult community members and participants in outreach and related programs.
