About this Event
This workshop will teach attendees the conceptual and technical skills to use basic spreadsheet tools. Using Microsoft Excel, a commonly used tabular data program similar to platforms like Google Sheets and Airtable, this workshop will go over basic formulas and their uses in research organization and analysis, with specific interest in how they can be applied for humanistic scholars.
This workshop is designed for beginners who want to learn more about Microsoft Excel’s functions and how to utilize tabular data tools for their research. It is also designed around the needs of humanists, who may not be trained in computational and digital methods. Students, faculty, and staff are all welcome to attend.
Attendees will need to be able to access Microsoft Excel on their computers, via desktop application or web version provided with Microsoft 365.
UCSF welcomes everyone, including people with disabilities to our events and exhibits. To request a reasonable accommodation for this event, please contact Sean Purcell by emailing sean.purcell@ucsf.edu as soon as possible.
