University of California San Francisco Give to UCSF

This workshop will teach attendees the conceptual and technical skills for operating basic spreadsheet tools. Using Microsoft Excel, a commonly used tabular data program similar to Google Sheets and Airtable, this workshop will go over basic formulas and their uses in research organization and analysis, with a focus on how they can be applied for humanistic scholars.

This workshop is designed for beginners who want to learn more about Microsoft Excel’s functions, and those who wish to learn how to better use tabular data tools for their research. The workshop is built around the needs of humanists, who may not be trained in computational and digital methods. Students, faculty, and staff are all welcome to attend.

Attendees will need to be able to open the Microsoft Excel program on their computers, either using a desktop application or web version provided with Microsoft 365.

UCSF welcomes everyone, including people with disabilities to our events and exhibits. To request a reasonable accommodation for this event, please contact Sean Purcell by emailing sean.purcell@ucsf.edu as soon as possible.
