Erika is in the infectious diseases and clinical pharmacology fellowship programs at UCSF. She is studying the the population pharmacokinetics of the antimalarial drug dihydroartemisinin-piperaquine (DHA-PQ) when it is used to prevent malaria among pregnant women and children in Uganda. She hopes to help determine the optimal dosing regimen for DHA-PQ when used in malaria chemoprevention. Her mentors include Philip Rosenthal and Grant Dorsey with the Division of HIV, Infectious Diseases, and Global Medicine, and Rada Savic and Francesca Aweeka in the School of Pharmacy.
