Easing the Tensions: Civic Engagement and Participation as Avenues of Social Conciliation

Please RSVP for this event.

Presented by: Gamelyn F. Oduardo-Sierra, Fellow for UC's National Center for Free Speech and Civic Engagement and civil rights lawyer.

As we explore the importance of civic engagement for the exercise of First Amendment rights, Gamelyn will propose ways in which to deal with these tensions from the top-down, and from the bottom-up.

This workshop is an invitation to dialogue, to civic engagement and ultimately, to community empowerment as avenues of social conciliation.

Refreshments will be provided.

This event will be livestreamed.
