Free E-waste disposal event: Parnassus Heights on Wednesday, August 12th, 2026, from 10:00AM – 1:00PM.

Dispose of unwanted electronic waste and Styrofoam at no cost through UCSF Facilities Services’ Recycling & Waste Reduction Program.

The recycling event is for UCSF Staff and UCSF owned or purchased electronics only. All drop-offs must fill out this form prior to participating in this event.  

UCSF staff will check your items to ensure they meet the criteria for drop-offs. Keep in mind the following items are NOT accepted.

• Personal electronics
• UCSF Capital Asset Tagged items
• Single use batteries
• Light bulbs/lamps
• Equipment with freon or refrigeration components
• Broken glass/sharps
• Equipment with liquids/oil still in it
• Anything non-electronic
• Biohazardous equipment or lab equipment that has not been sterilized
