Nathaniel "Ned" David is an inspiration to aspiring entrepreneurs. He is a serial entrepreneur and inventor, with an impressive record of translating research into products and building companies. He views company building as a way to create technologies which change the world. Ned has co-founded five biotechnology companies that have raised $1.5 billion in finance and employs over 400 scientists, engineers and business people. Ned is co-founder and president of UNITY Biotechnology (addressing diseases of aging) and co-founder of Syrrx(Structural biology, acquired by Takeda), Achaogen (Antibiotics, AKAO), Kythera Biopharmaceuticals (Non-surgical treatment for facial fullness, KYTH, acquired by Allergan), and Sapphire Energy (Algae derived fuels). Ned was named one of the Top 100 innovators in the world under 35 by the MIT Technology Review. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley in Molecular and Cellular Biology and an A.B. in Biology from Harvard University.
