Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a festive holiday celebrated in early November throughout Mexico. The multi-day holiday involves family and friends gathering to pay respects and remember their loved ones who have passed. Elaborate altars are adorned with colorful decorations, photographs of the departed and meaningful items. The altars invite loved ones to return and help light their way home.

Join us to learn about the holiday and to view Dia de los Muertos altars that will be created by UCSF Registered Campus Organizations such as the Chicano Latino Campus Association, Society for the Advancement of Chicanos and Native Americans in Science, Latino Medical Student Association, and UCSF LGBT Resource Center. 

Mexican hot chocolate and pastries will be served during the reception.
