Serious Illness Accompaniment: End of Life Option Act Care at UCSF
Join us for a discussion of end-of-life care under California’s End of Life Option Act (EOLOA), which permits adults with a life expectancy of less than six months to request medication to end their lives. This Grand Rounds will explore the history of EOLOA policy, UCSF’s approach to supporting patients pursuing this path, and key clinical lessons learned through implementation. Speakers will highlight special circumstances that can complicate care and share emerging insights on how UCSF is navigating the complexities and opportunities in this space.
