Presenter: John Brown, PsyD, FSAP Clinical Psychologist and UCSF’s Threat Management Team Lead
Dr. Brown is a licensed Clinical Psychologist with the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program at UCSF and in private practice. He earned his master's and doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from The Wright Institute in Berkeley, following the completion of a bachelor's degree in History at Portland State University. Dr. Brown's career has been marked by significant contributions in various fields, including his work as a clinical psychologist with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, where he specialized in providing care for patients facing acute psychological distress. Since 2016, he has been an integral part of UCSF's Threat Management Team, and in 2022, he assumed the leadership role as the Threat Management Team Lead. His blend of academic achievements and real-world experience underscores his commitment to psychological care and threat management.
