  strategies in ensuring equitable responses to current and future pandemic
 s.\n\nMonica Gandhi\, MD\, MPH\, Professor of Medicine and Associate Divis
 ion Chief (Clinical Operations/ Education) of the Division of HIV\, Infect
 ious Diseases\, and Global Medicine at UCSF/ San Francisco General Hospita
 l \n\nDr. Gandhi is an expert in infectious diseases\, specializing partic
 ularly in the care of patients with HIV and AIDS. In her research\, Gandhi
  has a special interest in HIV in women\, including differences between wo
 men and men in exposure to antiretroviral medication and responses to ther
 apy. Her work on these subjects has been widely published. Gandhi earned h
 er medical degree at Harvard Medical School. At UCSF\, she completed an in
 ternal medicine residency and infectious diseases fellowship\, as well as 
 a postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for AIDS Prevention Studies. Durin
 g her infectious diseases fellowship\, she earned a master of public healt
 h degree in epidemiology and biostatistics at the University of California
 \, Berkeley. Gandhi has received many awards\, including one from the Nati
 onal Institutes of Health’s Building Interdisciplinary Research Careers 
 in Women's Health program and an early career faculty award from the Hellm
 an Fellows Program.\n\nModerator\n\nEric Goosby\, MD \n\nEric Goosby\, M.D
 .\, is an internationally recognized expert on infectious diseases\, with 
 a specialty in HIV/AIDS clinical care\, research\, and policy. During the 
 Clinton Administration\, Dr. Goosby was the founding director of the Ryan 
 White CARE Act\, the largest federally funded HIV/AIDS program in the U.S.
  He went on to become the interim director of the White House's Office of 
 National AIDS Policy. In the Obama Administration\, Dr. Goosby was appoint
 ed Ambassador-at-Large and implemented the U.S. President's Emergency Plan
  for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR)\, which significantly expanded under his tenure 
 life-saving HIV treatment to millions in Sub Saharan Africa\, SE Asia\, an
 d Eastern Europe.\n\nAfter serving as the U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator\, h
 e was appointed by the UN Secretary-General as the Special Envoy on Tuberc
 ulosis\, where he focused on the first-ever UN High-Level Meeting on TB in
  2019. He is currently a Professor of Medicine at the UCSF School of Medic
 ine and leading the Center for Global Health Delivery\, Diplomacy and Econ
 omics\, Institute for Global Health Sciences. Additionally\, he is a membe
 r of the Biden Covid-19 Advisory Board\, a member of the Western States Sc
 ientific Safety Review Workgroup\, and serves on the San Francisco Dept. o
 f Public Health\, Policy Group for the COVID-19 Response.
