University of California San Francisco Give to UCSF

Should you worry about copyright? What copyright-protected materials can you share, and what should you consider when sharing them? Is it ok to use a googled image in your presentation?

In 30 minutes, this class will cover the basics of U.S. Copyright Law and its application in the academic setting, and leave plenty of time for questions and discussion.

We will explore and discuss Fair Use, which allows use of portions of copyright protected materials without obtaining permissions from the copyright holder. Find sources of images you can use without worry over copyright infringement. Get a list of copyright best practices. Bring your questions!
