Join us for the Annual Faculty Developer Meeting as we welcome invited speaker Teresa Chan, HBSc, BEd, MHPE, MD, FRCPC. Dr. Chan is an associate professor, Division of Emergency Medicine, Department of Medicine, McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Currently, she is the Assistant Dean, Program for Faculty Development; Adjunct Scientist, McMaster Education Research, Innovation & Theory (MERIT) Program. She is also the Director of the RCPSC Clinician Educator Area of Focused Competency Diploma program, and the Competency Committee Co-Director for the RCPSC emergency medicine residency program. Additionally, she serves as the Social Media Lead for the McMaster Department of Medicine.
Dr. Chan will be joined by Yusuf Yilmaz to talk about an innovative idea to manage self-directed micro-credentials in teaching via a badge-based system that tracks participation in video-based faculty development in health professions education.
