About this Event
Dr. Lauren F. Klein is Winship Distinguished Research Professor and Associate Professor in the departments of Quantitative Theory & Methods and English at Emory University, where she also directs the Digital Humanities Lab. This talk will briefly summarize the principles of Data Feminism before moving to a set of examples that show how they can be applied–and extended–to our current technological landscape. This event is put on by the UC Women in Tech Committee with help from UCSF's WIT@UCSF.
Bonus! The first 100 registrants who also attend the event will receive a free copy of Dr. Klein's book (co-authored with Catherine D'Ignazio).
