CE-CERT: Practice Skills for Sustaining a Career in Trauma-Exposed Workplaces (Trainer: Brian Miller, PhD)
Feeling burned out? Needing strategies beyond “self-care”? Join us for a 2-day in-person workshop on vicarious trauma!
The CE-CERT model (Components for Enhancing Clinician Experience and Reducing Trauma) is an evidence-informed, synthetic method for reducing secondary trauma for workers in helping professions. This two-day training will teach participants how to define the relationship between each of the five skill domains and their own sense of well-being and emotion regulation during times of job strain or secondary trauma.
Brian Miller, PhD, developed the CE-CERT model. He provides training and consultation on topics of secondary trauma, trauma informed supervision, and implementation processes. His book, Reducing Secondary Traumatic Stress: Skills for Sustaining a Career in the Helping Professions, was released in July of 2021.
Advance registration is required. Sponsored by the UCSF Child Trauma Research Project.
*The Child Trauma Research Program is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing professional education for psychologists. CTRP maintains responsibility for this program and its contents.
