University of California San Francisco Give to UCSF

The Cancer Cell Map Initiatitive (CCMI) presents a special workshop:

Dexter Pratt (UC San Diego) takes us through the basics of Cytoscape, the popular network visualization and analysis tool.

The CCMI’s Computational Biology Software Series will cover a range of publicly available databases and analysis tools to help empower your research.

If you’re new to network biology, this workshop can help you understand the major applications of this field and how to find relevant pathways. Come learn the basics of Cytoscape, a free and open source tool that has become the most popular network visualization and analysis tool in the biological sciences.

You’ll discover the best way to perform basic topological analyses and master network layouts and data visualization. The seminar will give a demonstration of the best Cytoscape apps and tutorials.

The mission of the Cancer Cell Map Initiative is to enable a new era of cancer discovery and treatment based on the complete elucidation of the molecular networks underlying cancer. This information will be critical for developing computational models of cancer cells that will enable both basic research and clinical decision-making.
