DESCRIPTION:Register\n\nThe Cancer Research Showcase is designed to introdu
 ce the vibrant cancer research community at UCSF to students across PhD an
 d MD/PhD programs who wish to conduct cancer research. This event is inten
 ded to empower trainees to launch careers dedicated to improving our under
 standing and treatment of cancer. Our diverse cancer research community co
 nsists of members studying all aspects of cancer biology from basic mechan
 isms to translational research and computational biology.\n\nThis event is
  open to all members of the UCSF community\, especially first-year graduat
 e students who are deciding on their rotation labs. A reception will follo
 w the presentations to give attendees and faculty an opportunity to meet. 
 Pizza and beverages will be provided.\n\nPresentations will go from 3:30pm
  - 5pm. Reception from 5pm - 6pm.
