Limited space available; pre-registration required. For more information, please contact Glenna.Roberts@ucsf.edu.

Live stream available September 11, 4:30-6pm

There is a growing global movement for Universal Health Coverage, yet citizens continue to run the risk of poverty from unaffordable health care costs. At a plenary discussion at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG) on September 11, members of The Elders, including Ban Ki-Moon, former Secretary-General of the United Nations; Mary Robinson, the former President of Ireland, and Ricardo Lagos, the former President of Chile, will discuss their experience in reforming health care and championing rights and development at national and international levels. They will explore California’s health needs and the merits of UHC in California. Speakers also include Eric Goosby, UN Special Envoy on Tuberculosis and former US AIDS (PEPFAR) Coordinator; Ari Johnson, assistant professor and CEO of Muso; and other community leaders. A live video stream will be available on the day of event.
