The UCSF Center for BRCA Research & UCSF Hereditary Cancer Clinic are offering a series of educational workshops to provide more information for mutation carriers and family members.
Our third session will focus on Prostate Cancer: Personalized Management for Patients with Hereditary Cancer Mutations. Dr. Pamela Munster and Dr. Hao Nguyen will answer common questions that patients have in the clinic, such as:
- Who’s at risk? What does this mean?
- How often should I perform the PSA test?
- What's the difference between total and free PSA?
- When should I start screening?
- When do I need a biopsy?

- Discussion of prostate cancer screening: modalities, recommendations, pros and cons.
