Beyond the Nod is a UCSF Wellness project dedicated to fostering meaningful connections within the Black UCSF community through a series of engaging social events. These gatherings are designed to promote physical and psychosocial well-being by strengthening cultural ties, inspiring creativity, and stimulating the mind. Each event is organized in partnership with Black-led community organizations and Black-owned businesses.

Join us for Thrive @ MoAD on November 9, 2024, a free community day at the Museum of African Diaspora with complimentary admission to all exhibitions! From 12-1 pm, enjoy a family art activity with teaching artist Nicole Dixon, followed by a family-friendly exhibition tour at 1 pm. Afterward, savor delicious bites at Black-owned Voodoo Love, known for its farm-to-table Creole dishes like shrimp & grits, catfish po' boy, and more. Bring your family for a day of art, food, and fun!
