The BLS Course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED.
In the Instructor-led course, students participate in simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations. Students work with an AHA BLS Instructor to complete BLS skills practice and skills testing. Students also complete a written exam.
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing. You will be practicing skills that will require you to work on your hands and knees, bending, standing, and lifting. If you have physical conditions that might prevent you from participating in the course, please let one of your instructors know when you arrive for the course. The instructor will work with you to accommodate your needs within the stated course completion requirements. In the event you are ill, please notify your instructor to reschedule your training.
