Event Overview

Join us for a special seminar and discussion focused on lessons learned from pursuing translational neuroscience research through a highly collaborative academic-industry partnership. This seminar will feature Dr. Michael Rapé, Professor and Head of Division of Molecular Therapeutics at UC Berkeley. Dr. Rapé leads a project supported by the Alliance for Therapies in Neuroscience (ATN), which is a partnership between Weill Neurohub and Roche/Genentech that brings together teams of academic and industry scientists to speed the development of therapies for the brain and nervous system. The discussion will provide insight into how projects funded by ATN develop and progress, and what success looks like as part of this collaborative effort. Michael will be joined by ATN leadership in conversation as they reflect on the first five years of ATN and share their perspectives on the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for translating neuroscience research into programs that can have real-world impact. This seminar will also provide an early look ahead at the next ATN RFP that will be released in the coming months, as well as opportunities to network with colleagues from across the Neurohub and ATN partner institutions.
