https://diversitybch.ucsf.edu/arab-heritage-2024Join us in celebration of Arab American Heritage Month with Dr. Jess Ghannam, as he presents on Arab community, identity and culture. This presentation also serves to combat Anti-Arab bigotry and to challenge stereotypes and prejudices.
Dr. Ghannam is a human rights activist and professor at UCSF. He lectures, writes, and conducts research on the health effects of war and occupation in Palestine and in the Arab World, where he travels frequently.
This is a hybrid event. Food and refreshments will be served at the BCH Mission Bay auditorium at 11:30 am - 12 pm. The Arab Talk presentation will be at 12 pm - 1 pm both inperson and on zoom.
