University of California San Francisco Give to UCSF

Ageism Awareness Day

Wednesday, October 9, 2024 12:00am - Thursday, October 10, 2024 12:00am PDT

Ageism is everywhere—including at UCSF. Because it affects how we think (stereotypes), feel (prejudice), and act (discrimination) towards others or ourselves, ageism worsens outcomes and exacerbates other disadvantages.

The good news is that you can do something about it, starting by learning something, saying something, or doing something on this year's Ageism Awareness Day on Wednesday, October 9, 2024.

The UCSF Diversity and Inclusion Certificate Program Alums (DICPA) are sharing resources, including books, podcasts, journal articles, and websites, to increase understanding and knowledge around an issue that affects us all. Complete a survey to get more involved with the UCSF Ageism Awareness and Action Coalition.
