Rico Chenyek, PhD, earned his degree from the Institute of Communications Research through the Medical Scholars Program at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where he studied social and cultural studies of science, medicine, and technology with graduate minors in American Indian & Indigenous Studies, Latina/Latino Studies, Gender & Women’s Studies, and a certificate in Criticism and Interpretive Theory. He is currently an MD candidate at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago and will graduate in May 2023.
Research Seminars
The Osher Center for Integrative Health hosts monthly research seminars that are open to the research and clinical community at large. Seminars are held from September to June and are currently online only. Presentations cover a wide range of topics including mindfulness and integrative health intervention efficacy and implementation, social justice, and health equity, and neural correlates of mindfulness practice.
