University of California San Francisco Give to UCSF

UCSF Brain Tumor Center patients are welcome to join us for this 4-week holistic yoga/meditation program designed specifically for and by a brain tumor patient! Gentle hatha yoga is a slow-paced yoga practice that mindfully honors one’s body, not pushing or striving for a particular outcome. In clinical trials, both yoga and meditation have been shown to reduce stress in brain tumor patients, and a new study shows the positive effect of yogic breathing on the cerebrospinal fluid.

This class will be held the four Tuesdays in July: 7/5, 7/12, 7/19 and 7/26, from 10:00 - 11:00 am and will be taught by Kat Shotz, MFT, Certified Yoga Instructor.

IMPORTANT: This class is limited to 10 people, so if you register, please commit to attending most or all of the four sessions. Registrants will be required to get permission from their UCSF neuro-oncologist to attend, and sign a UCSF liability waiver.
