Chronic Pain: Preclinical Approaches to Pain Mechanisms and Management

Learning objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

Understand how calcium imaging can be used to monitor spinal cord neural activity long term in the awake, behaving animal
Understand the differences between tissue and nerve injury-induced chronic pain
Understand how contemporary in silico chemical screening approach can lead to the development of novel, non-opioid analgesics
