Join us for the second session of the Supervisor Professional Development Series, a bi-monthly (April to October 2026), in-person workshop designed to provide supervisors with tools and resources to excel in their roles. This collaborative initiative between the Department of Neurology and the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences (DPBS) is tailored for faculty and staff who supervise staff.

Session 2: Conversations That Shape Performance

Everyday conversations shape trust, accountability, engagement, and team performance. This interactive session focuses on practical communication skills supervisors can use to better support their teams.

Participants will:

  • Strengthen communication, feedback, and coaching skills for everyday supervision
  • Explore how conversations influence trust, growth, and accountability
  • Practice simple strategies for clearer and more effective conversations
  • Reflect on common communication challenges supervisors face

This session is designed for supervisors at all experience levels and includes practical discussion and skill-building activities that can be applied immediately in the workplace.

RSVP is required. Invitations have been sent directly to all faculty and staff in the Departments of Neurology and Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences who supervise staff. If you believe you should have received an invitation but did not, please contact Nancy Buenaventura.
